Okaloosa Island is West of the Destin Harbor. You will find low-rise condos, the Boardwalk, Okaloosa County Fishing Pier, restaurants and a few beach shops. Most condos are located on the Gulf side, however a few are located on the bay side.
Okaloosa Island also has several beach access locations with parking. Okaloosa Island is the Gulf front community of Fort Walton Beach. Fort Walton Beach is not on the Gulf. It is on the Bay and on the intercoastal waterway.
